through physical education in an IB World School? Can you challenge and support our

students to become confident, balanced, reflective and caring individuals through

engaging physical learning experiences?

Due to a long-term absence, International Primary School Delft is looking for a Cover

Teacher Physical Education (0.8 FTE = 4 days per week) to teach students across the

primary school, from Early Years through to Upper Primary.

We are looking for a teacher whose experience, enthusiasm and passion for physical

education will inspire our children. You have experience teaching a broad range of age

groups and can create an inclusive, engaging and challenging learning environment

where every child can develop confidence, teamwork, resilience and a lifelong

appreciation of physical activity.

International Primary School Delft is a young, dynamic school situated in the heart of

the campus of the Delft University of Technology. We are a Dutch International School

founded over 11 years ago and currently serve approximately 220 students.

Our students come from a diverse range of nationalities, cultures and backgrounds and

are united by the common goal that their time at ISD will inspire them to learn for a

sustainable future.

International School Delft is an IB World School, offering the Primary Years Programme

(IB PYP) in the Primary School, the Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) and Diploma

Programme (IB DP) in the Secondary School.

The Role

The Physical Education Teacher will:

• Teach PE lessons across the Primary School, from Early Years to Upper Primary.

• Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate physical education

programmes.

• Be responsible for the planning, delivery and assessment of the PSPE (Personal,

Social and Physical Education) curriculum.

• Promote student wellbeing, physical development and healthy lifestyles.

• Teach in both the school's on-site facilities and the excellent sports facilities

available through the TU Delft campus.

• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and support staff to enhance

student learning and wellbeing.

• Be supported by a PE Teaching Assistant on several teaching days.

Qualifications

Teaching staff should have:

• A teaching qualification recognised by the Dutch authorities, or eligibility for

recognition.

• A qualification and/or experience in Physical Education teaching.

• Experience working with primary-aged children.

• Experience in international education or IB schools is welcomed.

• Additional qualifications in coaching, sports leadership or wellbeing

programmes are an advantage.
